This is a review copy with a publisher's accouncement laid into the book. A handsome and collectible copy. One of the Abbeys' most enduring books that details his love for the desert and canyons. Written after he worked as a ranger in Arches National Park. There was a small first printing and many of the firsts were read and passed around. Consequently, nice copies such as this are uncommon.
