New York. Knopf. 1955. First edition. A near fine book in a very good dust jacket. Price clipped. Some wear at the extremities and light chipping to the front panel, but bold, bright colors on the dust jacket. Edited by Wallace Stegner who has written a chapter. The book, with contributions from several notable naturalists, was written when the federal government sought to dam the Green and Yampa Rivers near Dinosaur National Monument in Utah. The dam was never built.
