This is the scarcer British edition, signed by the author on the title page and not signed on a tipped-in page. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, the second to be won by Colson Whitehead. It is the story of two black boys who are sentenced to a hellish reform school in Jim Crow era Florida. Signed by the author on the title page.
